This amendment requires that people live within the state of Massachusetts for at least one year before they can begin receiving financial assistance from the state’s rental assistance program. CPAC supports efforts to diminish the exploitation of government welfare systems and supported this amendment. The House defeated this amendment on November 8, 2023 by a vote of 28-128.
