This bill proposes an amendment to the Maryland Constitution that would give people the right to have an abortion. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, opposes the government's attempts to make it a right, opposes its expansion and glorification, and strongly opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 10, 2023 by a vote of 99-37 and the bill later became law.
