Vote Description
This bill, dubbed the “Maryland Gun Safety Act of 2023,” prohibits most individuals from carrying a firearm in government-owned and other specified public areas. CPAC supports the founders’ belief in the Second Amendment, opposes crackdowns on Second Amendment freedoms, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 10, 2023 by a vote of 93-42 and the bill later became law.
