This bill establishes the Housing Innovation Fund, the likes of which will provide loans for local housing authorities to develop mixed-income, cross-subsidized housing. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to pay for other people’s housing and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 6, 2024 by a vote of 102-27 and the bill later became law.
