This bill requires utilities and electric companies to submit reports detailing how they will increase their energy efficiency and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. CPAC opposes measures that reorient utilities systems around the radical Leftist climate agenda and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 14, 2024 by a vote of 99-35 and the bill later became law.
