This bill allows the Governor to designate certain areas of the state as “Just Communities.” These “Just Communities” will be prioritized for state funding in order to advance equity, civil rights, racial justice, and equal opportunity. CPAC opposes racist decision-making in government processes and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 2, 2024 by a vote of 101-36 and the bill later became law.
