Vote Description

This bill prohibits landlords from creating leases that contain provisions preventing tenants from joining tenant organizations that can collectively negotiate with landlords. CPAC opposes this major infringement on the property rights of landlords, opposes the government’s interference in contracts between private citizens, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 7, 2023 by a vote of 36-7 and the bill later became law.
