SB 452
Expanding Financial Incentives to Benefit Talk, Reality, and Game Shows.
2023 - Maryland Senate
Vote Description

This bill makes it such that talk, reality, and game shows may now receive financial incentives from the government. The bill also increases the total percentage of direct costs for a production that may qualify for a tax credit. Additionally, it substantially increases the amount of tax credits that may be issued by the government. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to pay for talk or game shows and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 10, 2023 by a vote of 44-3 and the bill later became law.
