Betting State Funds on the Horse Racing Industry
2024 - Maryland Senate
Vote Description
This bill authorizes the Maryland Stadium Authority to issue more debt to help fund Maryland’s racing facilities. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to pay for horse racing facilities and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 8, 2024 by a vote of 41-6 and the bill later became law.
