This bill prohibits state regulations from requiring the producers of renewable energy components to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. It also requires the legislature to consider ways in which it can provide financial incentives to help offset the cost of making the production of cement less energy-intensive. CPAC supports all forms of energy, opposes government meddling in manufacturing, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 5, 2024 by a vote of 31-12 and the bill later became law.
