This bill requires that MaineCare reimburse the costs of gender surgeries and hormone replacement therapies. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to help cover the cost of mutilating people and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 16, 2023 by a vote of 75-65 and the bill later became law.
