LD 1588
Shoring Up the Ability of Unions to Harass Public Employees.
2023 - Maine House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill amends existing law in order to give union representatives easy access to the names, job titles, home addresses, personal telephone numbers, and personal emails of public employees. CPAC does not believe that the government should be building email lists for unions, recognizes that this measure opens up public employees to harassment and intimidation, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 8, 2023 by a vote of 71-62 and the bill later became law.
