This bill creates a government-directed paid family and medical leave program. CPAC believes that employees should be allowed to negotiate their employment benefits with their employers in an environment free from government interference and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 23, 2023 by a vote of 74-52 but the bill never received final approval.
