This bill funds a variety of programs that provide heating and utility assistance to certain qualifying households. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to fund other people’s utility costs and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on January 4, 2023 by a vote of 114-29 and the bill later became law.
