This bill increases the amount of rebates offered to the purchasers of electric vehicles and establishes a pilot program to incentivize the uptake of medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. CPAC supports all forms of energy, believes that the government should not support one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on February 29, 2024 by a vote of 75-61 and the bill later became law.
