This bill changes the definition of “machine gun” in Maine’s criminal code, potentially sweeping additional firearms or accessories into a more heavily regulated category. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-06-16 by a vote of 19-15. The House passed this bill on 2025-06-17 by a vote of 76-71. The bill did not become law.
