This bill prohibits employers from taking adverse action against employees because of their refusal to attend an employer-sponsored meeting in which the “political” beliefs of the employer are communicated to the employee. CPAC opposes government micromanagement of the workplace and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on July 6, 2023 by a vote of 22-9 and the bill later became law.
