This bill creates the Community Housing and Rural Development Authority, the likes of which will develop and maintain community housing developments in the state. CPAC believes that the government should refrain from interfering in the housing market and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 21, 2024 by a vote of 17-10 but the bill did not become law.
