HB 5786
Required Instruction and Licensure for Barbers
2024 - Michigan House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill makes edits to the education and experience required to be a licensed barber, such as using the left’s pronouns and eliminating “him” and “her” to conform to leftist culture. CPAC opposes these unneeded burdens on businesses that are primarily used to prevent competition and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on December 10, 2024, by a vote of 105-3, but the bill was not taken up in the Senate.
