Vote Description

This bill repeals a provision in public law that prevented public employees from being compelled to join a union or pay union dues as a condition of employment. CPAC opposes the removal of this measure, believes that public employees should not be forced to pay into the union machine, supports right-to-work laws, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 21, 2023 by a vote of 20-16 and the bill later became law.
