This bill adds gender identity to Michigan’s human rights law. This means that neither housing nor employment may be denied to a person because of their gender identity. CPAC recognizes that these provisions will be used to harm conservatives that do not unconditionally affirm the Left’s radical trans agenda and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 1, 2023 by a vote of 23-15 and the bill later became law.
