This bill establishes a program that apportions forgivable loans to healthcare professionals. It also expands several other grant and loan repayment programs relating to healthcare professionals. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to pay for other people’s education and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 5, 2023 by a vote of 26-7 and the bill later became law.
