This bill prohibits localities from imposing moratoriums on eviction proceedings unless specifically authorized to do so by the state. CPAC opposes such actions by local governments, the likes of which tread on people’s property rights, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 30, 2023 by a vote of 25-8 but the bill did not progress any further.
