This bill allows electronic currencies and specie to be used as payment for public debts and for private debts if the receiving entity desires it. CPAC supports efforts to promote monetary freedom and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 29, 2024 by a vote of 21-10 but the bill did not become law.
