This bill reshapes the amount of unemployment benefits a person may receive such that it fluctuates based on the state’s overall unemployment rate. CPAC supports efforts to preserve the status of unemployment benefits as a temporary bridge between jobs and supported this bill. The Senate called this bill up for perfection on February 21, 2024 by a vote of 22-8 but the bill did not progress further.
