HB 1125
Prohibiting the Government from Using Taxpayers Funds to Pay for Radical Gender Surgeries on Children.*
2023 - Mississippi House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill prohibits the government from using funds in order to pay for gender reassignment surgeries and procedures for minors. It also prohibits Medicaid from covering such medical activities. CPAC opposes the mutilation of minors, does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to pay for unethical medical procedures, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on January 19, 2023 by a vote of 78-29 and the bill later became law. *This bill has been double-rated because of its importance in protecting minors.
