This bill allows school staff members with concealed carry permits in certain school districts to opt to take a program that qualifies them to carry a gun on campus. CPAC supports the founders’ belief in the Second Amendment, supports measures that make schools safer, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on March 27, 2023 by a vote of 79-32 and the bill later became law.
