This bill gives landlords some legal authority to remove squatters from private property and creates penalties for damaging that property. CPAC supports private property rights, the need for legal authority to remove squatters from private property and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on March 12, 2025 by a vote of 51-0 and the bill later became law.
