This bill sets the dates for fireworks purchasing laws from May 23 to July 12 and reduces the violation of these laws from a felony to a misdemeanor. CPAC supports decriminalizing fireworks and supported this bill as a step in the right direction. The Senate passed the bill on February 5, 2025 by a vote of 49-0 and the bill later became law.
