This version of the Omnibus Tax Bill reduces the state income tax in stages through 2030, keeps the grocery tax at 5% and increase gas taxes. Unlike HB 1 it does not eliminate the income tax after 2030. CPAC supports reduced taxes and supported both versions of the bill. The Senate passed the bill on February 24, 2025 by a vote of 34-15 but it died in conference committee.
