This bill codifies the correct definition of sex into state law, thereby allowing state law to reflect biological realities. CPAC supports efforts to reduce the influence of false and erroneous definitions of sex and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 21, 2023 by a vote of 60-36 and the bill later became law.
