This bill expands legislation allowing patients the opportunity to try investigational drugs or products. It does this by removing a requirement that stated that patients had to have a terminal illness in order to be permitted to try such drugs. CPAC supports the right to try and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 2, 2023 by a vote of 38-12 and the bill later became law.
