This bill gives numerous municipalities the authority to levy differing occupancy taxes on hotels and other lodging establishments within their jurisdictions. CPAC opposes the creation of occupancy taxes and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on October 25, 2023 by a vote of 93-6 and the bill later became law.
