This bill makes it a Class E felony for anyone to, in the course of a riot, cause serious bodily injury to a person or $2,500+ in property damage. CPAC supports measures that protect civilians against the actions of rioters and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 9, 2023 by a vote of 27-16 and the bill later became law.
