This bill establishes a process that makes it easier for a charter school to be approved by public entities. CPAC supports the growth of charter school systems and supported this bill. The Senate overrode Governor Cooper’s veto of this bill on August 16, 2023 by a vote of 27-18 and the bill later became law.
