This bill prohibits the state government from promoting certain concepts or beliefs within employee workplaces. These include those that state that one is inherently racist or sexist or that one bears responsibility for the malfeasance of past members of their race. CPAC believes that the government should not promote CRT-adjacent principles and supported this bill. The Senate overrode Governor Cooper’s veto of this bill on June 20, 2023 by a vote of 30-18 and the bill later became law.
