This bill outlaws the performance of nearly all abortions within the state of North Dakota. A woman can still receive an abortion if her pregnancy is caused by rape or if her life is at risk because of the pregnancy. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, supports restrictions on its practice, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 17, 2023 by a vote of 76-14 and the bill later became law.
