This bill creates a pilot program that requires state entities and health plans to purchase certain drugs at or below rates determined in part by Canadian public policy. CPAC opposes inappropriate attempts to increase government interference in the healthcare marketplace, believes that costs and prices are best determined in a free marketplace, and opposed this bill. The Senate defeated this bill on February 2, 2023 by a vote of 14-33.
