This amendment increases the amount of funds that will be appropriated to the Nebraska Healthcare Cash Fund by over $10,000,000 over the next few years. This cash fund exists such that the government may make “health care related expenditures.” CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to pay for the government’s healthcare initiatives and opposed this amendment. The legislature passed this amendment on May 4, 2023 by a vote of 28-9.
