This bill prohibits racial profiling in law enforcement and in sentencing. CPAC recognizes that this provision has previously been abused by activists in order to conjure up frivolous litigation against actors that they dislike in the justice system and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 16, 2023 by a vote of 186-185 but the bill never became law.
