This bill directs the Board of Public Utilities to implement a program designed to promote women-owned, minority-owned, and/or LGBT+-owned energy businesses. CPAC opposes government favoritism toward particular industries, opposes government favoritism toward particular racial groups, and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on December 21, 2023 by a vote of 66-7 but the bill had not become law as of the end of 2023.
