This bill removes any restrictions on material inappropriate for students and legally protects library officials from any legal action for allowing inappropriate books from being available in the school library. CPAC does not believe tax money should be used to allow objectionable material to be available and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed the bill on June 28, 2024 by a vote of 53-20 and the bill later became law.
