Reducing the Family Leave Mandate to 5 employees

Vote Description

This bill, in a series of steps, expands the family leave mandate from 30 employees to five and guarantees that they can return to their job no matter how long they take. CPAC opposes these employer’s mandates that interfere with the employees’ right to negotiate their employment and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed the bill on February 12, 2024 by a vote of 49-26 but the bill was not taken up by the Senate.
