This bill authorizes 17-year-olds to vote in primary elections if they will turn 18 by the time of the next general election. CPAC opposes this obvious step toward giving minors the ability to vote in general elections and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on December 21, 2023 by a vote of 24-11 and the bill later became law.
