This bill establishes the crime of organized retail theft and sets up various penalties for those who act in concert with others to steal merchandise. CPAC supports measures that protect businesses from the actions of thieves and looters and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on March 1, 2023 by a vote of 62-3 and the bill later became law.
