This bill makes various unfavorable changes to election law. For example, it changes Public Records provisions such that it is now more difficult for voters to determine whether a candidate lives within their jurisdiction. CPAC opposes measures that decrease election transparency and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 25, 2023 by a vote of 23-13 and the bill later became law.
