This bill allows the government to permit men who believe that they are women to be incarcerated with women. CPAC opposes measures that open female prisoners up to sexual abuse, further opposes measures that gratify transgender ideology, and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on May 23, 2023 by a vote of 28-14 and the bill later became law.
