This bill prohibits medical licensing boards from denying a license to a physician because of their participation in abortion procedures. It also prohibits the governor from surrendering a person for arrest who has been charged in another state for participating in an abortion. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, opposes its protection, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 19, 2023 by a vote of 15-6 and the bill later became law.
