Vote Description

This bill dually prohibits the government from contracting with businesses whose supply chains contribute to tropical forest degradation and establishes the supply chain transparency assistance program, the likes of which would assist minority- and women-owned business in complying with this measure. CPAC opposes government favoritism toward particular racial groups and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on June 21, 2023 by a vote of 115-26 but the bill never became law.
