Vote Description
This bill requires state agencies, upon denying a minority- or women-owned business a part in a public contract, to send them the following information: the identity of the successful bidders, the business’ reason for not being selected, guidance about how the business may make more successful proposals, and information about the state’s opportunities for women- and minority-owned businesses. CPAC opposes the creation of racist and sexist laws and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 7, 2023 by a vote of 60-1 but the bill never became law.
